Ederson has confirmed his commitment to Manchester City, dismissing speculation about a potential departure. The 31-year-old goalkeeper, who joined City from Benfica for £35 million in 2017, is entering the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

The Brazil international was strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer and admitted that there was a lucrative offer on the table, one that was well above the average. Despite the tempting proposal, Ederson made it clear that his focus remains firmly on Manchester City.

“My future is here,” Ederson said. “I receive messages from friends sharing a lot of news about me, but 99% of it is fake. I understand how it works. People need stories for clicks or reactions, but most of it isn’t true.”

Widely regarded as one of the world’s best goalkeepers, Ederson has been a crucial figure in Manchester City’s era of dominance, helping the club secure six Premier League titles, the Champions League, and two FA Cups. His composure, distribution, and consistency have made him an indispensable part of the squad.

“My mind is here. My focus stays with City,” he added. “This club has given me everything. I’m fully committed to returning to the Premier League and going for the Champions League again.”

Meanwhile, reports have linked Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa with a possible move to Manchester City, with suggestions that the Portuguese shot-stopper has a £64 million release clause in his contract.

When asked about Ederson’s future, manager Pep Guardiola praised the goalkeeper’s contributions over the years but indicated that nothing has been decided beyond his current deal. “I am very pleased with what I see in training. He has had a spectacular decade with us, and his contribution has been massive in many areas,” said Guardiola.

Despite the speculation, Ederson’s message is clear — his heart and focus remain with Manchester City as he prepares for another chapter with the club.
