In a significant development with international ramifications, seven U.S. states—Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina—have initiated coordinated investigations into Nigerian media magnate Adedotun Olaoluwa. The probe centers on allegations that Olaoluwa interfered in the 2024 U.S. presidential election to support Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.

According to reports, Olaoluwa, through his international media firm Dotmount Communications Group, is accused of orchestrating a sophisticated disinformation campaign. This operation allegedly flooded key battleground states with pro-Trump content disguised as grassroots messaging. Forensic analysis traced the digital origins of this campaign back to assets linked to Olaoluwa’s extensive media network.

The investigation also highlights financial scrutiny, noting that Olaoluwa’s U.S.-based assets, including millions in consulting revenues, were frozen amid federal probes into complex offshore transactions and layered corporate structures. Federal prosecutors had quietly opened an investigation in 2023 focusing on wire transfers routed through shell companies connected to undisclosed Gulf clients and opaque media buys.

Sources reveal that Olaoluwa allegedly negotiated with officials, promising to “help secure the win” in exchange for a shift in Department of Justice scrutiny once Trump returned to power. The media campaign employed advanced tactics, including AI-generated content, geo-targeted misinformation, and precision influencer marketing, targeting voter blocs such as rural and minority communities. Analysts compare the operation’s sophistication to, or even surpassing, digital strategies seen in the 2016 election.

Olaoluwa’s media empire is known for advising governments and corporations in the Middle East and Africa and has orchestrated influential campaigns, such as one during Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election that helped stabilize investor confidence through strategic media placement.

Dotmount Communications has categorically denied all allegations, calling the investigations “baseless, politically motivated, and defamatory,” and stating that Olaoluwa “has never participated in political campaigns, nor represented any U.S. candidate or party.”

While the Trump campaign has not yet commented publicly, bipartisan calls for congressional hearings are intensifying, emphasizing the need to safeguard U.S. democratic institutions from foreign interference.

As investigations continue, Olaoluwa’s mastery of narrative control remains evident, even as authorities seek to unravel the complex layers of the alleged foreign influence operation.

This report is based on information from Linda Ikeji’s Blog and corroborated by multiple sources highlighting ongoing efforts to counter foreign interference in U.S. elections.
