The National Youth Service Corps in Osun has extended the service year of 12 corps members from the 2025 Batch A Stream II for various offences committed during their service year.
NYSC Osun Coordinator, Ekeng Kubiangha, disclosed this on Thursday during the passing-out ceremony in Osogbo. He said the disciplinary actions were taken in line with the NYSC Bye-Laws and were necessary to uphold discipline and preserve the integrity of the scheme.
Kubiangha also announced that 27 corps members were declared absconders for abandoning their places of primary assignment without authorization. He added that 2,132 corps members successfully completed the mandatory one-year service and were issued Certificates of National Service.
He congratulated the outgoing corps members for their contributions to their host communities and urged them to remain law-abiding, security conscious, and focused on self-development ahead of the forthcoming elections in the state.
