Seventeen-year-old Nafisa Abdullah Aminu from Yobe State has been crowned the World Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London.
Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa emerged victorious over 69 countries and outperformed more than 20,000 participants worldwide in this prestigious competition.
The TeenEagle competition is renowned for its rigorous evaluation of English language proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills, drawing students from both English-speaking and non-English-speaking nations.
Nafisa’s achievement marks a historic moment for Nigeria, shining a global spotlight on the nation’s academic potential.
The Aminu family attributed Nafisa’s success to dedication, discipline, and the unwavering support of Yobe State’s government, particularly Governor Mai Mala Buni.
They credited his visionary commitment to education as instrumental in providing the foundation for her accomplishment.
The family also expressed gratitude to the teachers and management of Nigerian Tulip International College for their role in preparing Nafisa for the challenge.
