Nigeria’s Ebola patient was medically evacuated to Switzerland on Monday, 26 October, Health Minister Muhammad Ali Pate said.
Pate said the patient was stable, conscious and communicating, with laboratory results approaching normal levels. Her husband accompanied her and remained without symptoms, Reuters reported.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control records that the patient developed symptoms on 7 October, sought medical care on 11 October and tested positive on 20 October.
Its account lists travel to Uganda and says epidemiological investigations were continuing. The evacuation announcement does not establish where she became infected.
