The Lagos State Government has sealed 12 establishments across different parts of the state for persistent violations of environmental regulations.
The enforcement was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
According to LASEPA, the affected establishments had been issued repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply but failed to address the identified breaches.
The establishments sealed include Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba; Feixiang Plastic on LASU-Ojo Road; Marvel Hotel and Suites, Igando; Keviz Hotel and Suites and DSN Hotel and Suites on LASU-Iba Road; Rudaj Vegetable Oil, Igando; Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, Ikotun; Limas, Abaranje, Ikotun; Nico Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo; 10Kobo Night Club, Agodo-Egbe; Master Furniture, Idimu-Ikota Road; and Nikky’s Executive Bar and Lounge, Ikotun.
The agency said the offences ranged from noise pollution, non-compliance with directives, obstruction of duty and discharge of untreated effluent.
The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on non-compliance, saying it would not tolerate violations of environmental regulations. He urged business owners and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices and cooperate with the government to ensure a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Lagos.
This is the latest in a series of enforcement operations by LASEPA, which said it sealed over 244 facilities in 2025 for similar infractions, with noise pollution accounting for the majority of complaints.
