Arsenal’s Max Dowman has become the youngest player ever to win the Premier League title at 16 years and 139 days old. The record was confirmed after Arsenal clinched the 2025-26 crown following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on May 19.
Dowman breaks the previous record held by Phil Foden, who was 17 years and 350 days when City won the title in 2017-18. The teenager made five league appearances this season, meeting the threshold to qualify for a winner’s medal. He has already made history once this campaign, becoming the Premier League’s youngest ever scorer at 16 years and 73 days with a solo goal against Everton in March.
Arsenal’s title ends a 22-year wait since their last league triumph in 2004. Dowman, a product of the Hale End academy, has been one of the breakout stories of the season, featuring 12 times in all competitions under Mikel Arteta before his ankle injury in December.
Guinness World Records confirmed the milestone on May 20, cementing Dowman’s place in Premier League history.
