Mr. Mathew Ogieva, a U.S.-based Nigerian and visionary in geoscience and data innovation, has made a significant impact on global STEM advancement by serving as a Grand Award Judge at the 75th Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The event, held from May 10 to 17 in Columbus, Ohio, is the world’s largest annual STEM competition for pre-college students, featuring nearly 1,700 participants from over 60 countries.
Ogieva evaluated over 70 groundbreaking projects in the Earth and Environmental Sciences category, bringing his expertise to the forefront of global youth innovation. His influence extends across the United States, having also judged at the California Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF 2025) at California Lutheran University. He currently serves on the 2026 CSEF Judging Advisory Committee.
Beyond ISEF, Ogieva has contributed to various STEM initiatives, including the State Science Day & STEP Fair in Ohio, Terra NYC STEM Fair at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, the Technovation Girls Global Competition evaluating tech solutions from girls in over 60 countries, and the Virginia Junior Academy of Science, championing science excellence among youth.
