President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ms. Derinsola Abiola, daughter of the late Chief MKO Abiola, as the new Director General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC).
This appointment has received widespread praise, including from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
NANS, through its National Public Relations Officer Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa, lauded the appointment as a fitting and well-deserved choice.
They highlighted that Ms. Abiola had previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership, where she demonstrated strong dedication, focus, and competence in promoting national development, civic responsibility, and youth empowerment.
The association expressed confidence that in her new role as DG, Ms. Abiola will have an even greater opportunity to build responsible citizenship and leadership among Nigerian youth.
NANS extended their congratulations and pledged support for her initiatives aimed at enhancing youth leadership, national unity, and civic responsibility.
This appointment reinforces the legacy of the late Chief MKO Abiola and aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership training and citizenship education in Nigeria.
