Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has revealed that his recent break from music was due to the death of his mother earlier this year.
The singer made this known on Friday, September 25, while responding to a fan on X who questioned his absence from the music scene.
An X user had asked the singer, “I guess album really made you busy you had to pause for a while.”
The award-winning singer replied: “I paused for my Mom not an album … Lost her this year, but I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family … sorry I came late this year.”
This comes one year and some months after he lost his mother-in-law. In November 2024, Kizz Daniel announced that his wife’s mother died after battling breast cancer.
