
The Nigerian Army has launched a successful operation in Taraba State, targeting bandits’ hideouts in a bid to curb criminal activities in the region. Troops reportedly destroyed several camps used by the bandits and recovered a significant cache of ammunition during the operation.
According to military sources, the operation was carried out with precision, following credible intelligence on the bandits’ locations. The army’s swift action disrupted the activities of the criminal elements, who are believed to have been behind several incidents of kidnapping, armed robbery, and cattle rustling in the area.
In addition to dismantling the camps, the troops recovered weapons and ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, rounds of ammunition, and other items used by the bandits. The operation also reportedly led to the rescue of hostages who had been held in captivity.
