The programme’s host, Olalekan Fabilola, announced the milestone during her appearance.

“You are the first person to win one million on this show,” he told her.

Adedoyin answered nine of the ten questions correctly, winning the cash prize but missing out on an additional car.

The contestant, who has family roots in Delta State, said she was born in Lagos and developed an interest in Yoruba from childhood.

She described learning more about the language, traditions and culture through educational entertainment programmes. She also produces educational content on social media.

Adedoyin works as a chanter, singer, bead-maker and event compere.

Produced by EA Yoruba, Masoyinbo asks contestants questions on Yoruba language, culture, traditions and heritage. Participants must answer in Yoruba without switching to English.
