Liverpool are finalizing a £40 million transfer for 21-year-old left-back Milos Kerkez, who is expected to join after two seasons at Bournemouth. His departure comes as Bournemouth bring in Adrien Truffert from Rennes as a replacement.
Kerkez’s arrival is part of a major summer rebuild at Anfield, with Liverpool also close to completing a £116 million club-record move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz. The club has already secured the signing of Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen for £29.5 million.
Born in Serbia, Kerkez began his career with Hungarian side Gyor before a brief stint at AC Milan. After moving to AZ Alkmaar in 2022, he played a key role in their fourth-place Eredivisie finish and their run to the Europa Conference League semi-finals.
Kerkez joined Bournemouth in 2023, where he played every league match last season, scoring twice and registering six assists as the club achieved a record ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
The Hungary international, who has earned 23 caps, will now reunite with national teammate Dominik Szoboszlai at Liverpool.
