Rev. Azzaman David, a prominent pastor based in Kaduna and the leading pastor of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, has tragically died in a motor accident. The accident occurred on Saturday, May 25, while he was returning from Makurdi, Benue State, to Kaduna.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, confirmed the news in a statement, describing the loss as a significant blow to the Christian community.
“Evangelist Azzaman was a courageous preacher, an unapologetic defender of the Christian faith, and a passionate advocate for the rights of persecuted believers. His life and ministry were marked by boldness, spiritual conviction, and an unwavering commitment to truth and justice,” Rev. Hayab said.
He added that Kaduna has lost a great soldier of Christ, highlighting Azzaman’s fearless stand against injustice and persecution, his role as a prophetic voice, bridge-builder, and spiritual father to many across various denominations.
Though his passing leaves a void, CAN expressed joy in the assurance that he has completed his race and now rests in the eternal glory of Jesus Christ. The association extended heartfelt condolences to his family, congregation, and all touched by his ministry, praying for comfort and strength during this difficult time.
“May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire courage and faith among believers,” the statement concluded.
