Award-winning cinematographer and music producer, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has updated his fans on his recovery following a failed kidney transplant. Omori, who shared the news on Friday, said he is healing from the stitches and remains determined to fight on.

Despite being unable to express his gratitude with his signature backflip, Omori expressed his optimism about getting better and continuing his work. He acknowledged the support and love from his fans and conveyed his eagerness to return to creating music videos.

“Up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip.) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one, I’ll continue the fight,” Omori posted on his X account.

Omori revealed earlier that he had been dealing with a kidney condition for the past year or two and recently experienced a failed transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos. He had undergone surgery three times and shared that his only brother had donated a kidney in an effort to save his life.

In a heartfelt message, he said, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t want to die.”

TG Omori, who is known for his unique visual storytelling in the Nigerian music industry, remains determined to recover fully and return to his passion for creating memorable music videos for his fans.
