The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed the TLS Visa Application Centre in Lagos following allegations of consumer rights violations and obstruction of ongoing investigations. The operation, led by Mrs. Boladale Adeyinka, Director of Surveillance and Investigations at the FCCPC, was prompted by complaints from Nigerian consumers who paid for visa processing services that were not delivered.

The Commission cited multiple breaches of the FCCPC Act, including the assault of government officials and uniformed police officers, as well as the centre’s refusal to honor lawful summons. Senior TLS officials have been summoned to appear before the Commission to explain their actions, with warnings that failure to comply could lead to imprisonment, fines, or both.

The FCCPC reiterated its commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring accountability among service providers, urging affected consumers to provide evidence to support ongoing investigations.
