The Abia State Police Command has arrested a Chinese expatriate, Mr. GZ Zhen, for allegedly killing a female crane operator, Ocheze Ogbonna, at the Inner Galaxy Steel company in Umuahala Asa, Ukwa West council area.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a night shift duty when Zhen allegedly attacked the female operator after she rejected his sexual advances. The victim sustained injuries which led to her death, sparking tension in the area as youths protested the incident.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the arrest and stated that investigation has commenced on the matter. Zhen is currently in police custody.
