Nigerian stars Tems and Burna Boy have made history by becoming the African artists with the most entries on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Both artistes achieved this milestone after their featured appearances on American rapper J. Cole’s album The Fall-Off, where Tems appeared on the track Bounce Road Blueswith Future, debuting at number 34, and Burna Boy featured on Only You, which entered at number 78.

These new placements have pushed each of their career totals to eight Hot 100 entries, the highest ever recorded by any African performers.

Tems now holds the distinction of being the African artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries in 2026, having notched three charting songs this year so far, including her work with other international artists. Prior to this, she became the first African female artist to reach seven total Hot 100 entries, a record she initially shared with Burna Boy and South African band Seether.

Burna Boy has extended his own remarkable run on the U.S. charts by becoming the first African artist to have a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years, spanning from 2021 through 2026 with hits across multiple albums and collaborations.

This achievement further cements both artistes’ influence and underscores the growing global reach of Afrobeats and African music in mainstream music markets.
