Nigerian Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has expressed her satisfaction after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected a petition calling for her recall.

The electoral body announced on Thursday that the petition failed to meet the constitutional requirements, particularly the insufficient number of signatures from constituents.

According to INEC, the signatures fell short of the 50% threshold of registered voters required by law.

Celebrating the decision, Natasha took to her official Facebook page, expressing her gratitude and dedicating the victory to Nigerians.

“On God it’s victory for the people. One battle down, two more to go,” she wrote. The senator also extended her thanks to her husband, supporters, and the people of Kogi Central, adding, “INEC Nigeria, you did well. Proudly Kogi Central.”
