A heated altercation between popular socialite Cubana Chief Priest and singer Burna Boy has ignited a frenzy on social media. The drama began after Burna Boy made a controversial post on Instagram that many believe was directed at Chief Priest, a close friend of singer Davido.

In the now-viral post, Burna Boy allegedly referred to Cubana Chief Priest as “Owerri Rick Ross”, a nickname that sparked immediate reactions. The post read:
“No forget say you be Azaman o, And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL and na u be next #OwerriRickyrozay.”

This seemingly innocuous message quickly took a more personal turn, with Chief Priest responding on his own Instagram story. In his reply, he indirectly criticized Burna Boy’s Grammy win, likening it to the troubled American rapper Diddy.

Cubana Chief Priest wrote:
“Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. you never see anything, you & your bend down collect Grammy. The Ferrari’s. London jewelers debt. I am coming. I have long waited for this moment. Osubrileeee oooo”

The exchange has captured the attention of fans, with many weighing in on the rivalry between the two prominent figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Burna Boy and Chief Priest have yet to comment further on the altercation, but the public dispute has added fuel to the ongoing drama between key figures in the Nigerian music and social scene.
