President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, marking the end of Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan’s tenure.

Yemi-Esan, who was appointed as the acting head of civil service on September 18, 2019, by former President Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed her gratitude as she exits the role. Reflecting on her time in service, Yemi-Esan shared at a Town Hall meeting organized by the Joint Union Negotiating Council (JUNC) in her honor, “I thank God for the opportunity to serve my country. I never dreamt of becoming the Head of Service of the Federation if not for the hand of God who made it possible.”

She further extended her appreciation to the leaders who supported her, stating,

“I also want to thank former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu, who made my work easier for me.” Additionally, she commended her team, saying, “My transformative Permanent Secretaries are not left out, as they are dedicated and hardworking, giving me the needed support,” She stated
