The Plateau State Police Command has refuted claims of investigating the alleged theft of ₦180 million from an NGO owned by popular social media commentator, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

VDM, in a viral video released on Friday, alleged that a hacker had infiltrated the NGO’s website and stolen the funds. He claimed that a suspect had been arrested in Jos, Plateau State, in connection with the theft.

However, when contacted by DAILY POST on Saturday, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, dismissed the claims.

“We don’t know anything about that. We are not investigating it. Kindly contact FCT Command to know if the matter was reported to them,” Alabo stated.

Similarly, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command denied any knowledge of the case.

The viral video has sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the alleged missing funds and the management of the NGO.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation or evidence of an ongoing investigation by any law enforcement agency into the matter.
