After a significant hiatus from the spotlight, veteran actress Liz Benson has made a grand comeback to Nollywood, returning to her passion for acting in a new film titled “A Mother’s Son,” produced by actress Mercy Johnson and directed by Vincent De Anointed.

Mercy Johnson took to her Instagram page to share a behind-the-scenes video, revealing the excitement among the cast as they welcomed Liz Benson back to the industry with open arms.

The star-studded movie features a seasoned cast, including Mike Godson, Evia Simon, Ozioma Maurice, and George Inaibeh, among others. Liz Benson, visibly touched by the warm reception from her colleagues, expressed her joy at reuniting with them, remarking, “All the big people in Nollywood are here. You guys are doing exploits; God bless you. It’s nice to see all of you in real life. I am meeting all of you for the first time. But I have come to see my daughter (Mercy Johnson).”

Liz Benson, originally from Etinan, Akwa Ibom in southern Nigeria, began her acting career at a young age and gained prominence in the 1990s. Her portrayal of Mrs Agnes Johnson in the television soap opera “Fortunes” on NTA in 1993 catapulted her to stardom, making her a household name in the early days of Nollywood.

With her return, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing Liz Benson’s unparalleled talent once again grace the silver screen and captivate audiences with her performances.
