South African comedian Trevor Noah is set to return as the host of the 67th Grammy Awards, marking his fifth consecutive year in the prestigious role. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
This year’s event will carry a special significance, as The Recording Academy and CBS have pledged to support wildfire relief efforts following the recent devastating fires in Los Angeles. In a joint statement, both organizations announced a $1 million donation through MusiCares to assist affected individuals in the music industry.
Noah’s continued role as host cements his place in Grammy history, making him the first comedian to host five times. According to Billboard, only music legends like Andy Williams, John Denver, and LL Cool J have achieved similar milestones. The 40-year-old comedian, who is also nominated for Best Comedy Album for his Netflix special Where Was I, will serve as a producer for the live broadcast.
Reflecting on the challenge of hosting, Noah previously told Variety, “I cannot imagine telling a joke and turning to see Beyoncé looking disappointed. That’s a moment I never want to experience, so I work twice as hard.”
The 2025 Grammy Awards will showcase top nominees, including Beyoncé, whose album Cowboy Carter earned her 11 nominations, Billie Eilish with seven nominations, and Taylor Swift with six.
Despite the ongoing wildfires, organizers have confirmed that the ceremony will proceed as planned, with additional tributes to first responders who have risked their lives to combat the crisis.
