American rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday morning for “disorderly intoxication and trespassing” at the Miami Beach Marina.
The Miami Beach Police Department reported that Scott, who has two children with Kylie Jenner, caused a disturbance on a charter boat while intoxicated and refused to leave despite multiple requests.
Police were called to the marina at 12:44 a.m. to address the disturbance. Scott, a 10-time Grammy Award nominee, reportedly became irate and screamed profanities after being asked to leave the boat. He was arrested at 1:17 a.m. and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 4:35 a.m. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing after a warning, with a bond set at $650—$500 for trespassing and $150 for disorderly intoxication.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, is one of the world’s biggest hip-hop acts, with four number-one hits on the US charts. He is scheduled to start his European “Circus Maximus” tour in the Netherlands next Friday and will play at Manchester’s Co-Op Live venue on July 13.
This incident adds to Scott’s controversial history, including the 2021 Astroworld festival tragedy in Houston, Texas, where 10 fans died in a crowd surge. While he did not face criminal charges, he remains involved in civil cases related to the incident.
