Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, the world record holder in the women’s 100-meter hurdles, has been cleared to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed appeals by World Athletics (WA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against her, confirming an earlier ruling by the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal (WADT).

Amusan, 28, was previously suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for missing three drug tests in a 12-month period, with a proposed two-year ban. However, this suspension was overturned by the AIU, allowing her to compete in the 2023 World Athletics Championship.

The CAS ruling concludes a legal process that began with the WADT’s decision on August 17, 2023, and solidifies Amusan’s eligibility for the upcoming Olympics.
