
Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General, has been appointed Ambassador for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education. The Commission’s Executive Secretary, Muhammad Sani Idris, announced the appointment during a visit to Tinubu-Ojo’s residence in Lagos, Nigeria.
In an official statement, Commission spokesperson Nura Muhammad highlighted Tinubu-Ojo’s dedication to disadvantaged communities, especially Almajiri and out-of-school children, as the reason for her selection. Idris also acknowledged her advocacy for market women and commitment to promoting trade and commerce.
Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Tinubu-Ojo said, “I am deeply honoured by this appointment and am committed to alleviating the plight of these vulnerable Nigerians.” She also emphasized her father’s dedication to education, calling it “a lasting legacy for Nigerian children,” and wished success for Idris in his leadership of the Commission.
