The Federal Government has commended Haliru Nababa for his exceptional leadership during his tenure, which began on May 10, 2021. His tenure was marked by significant achievements, including advancements in the welfare of officers and inmates, security improvements, logistics, and capacity-building efforts.

Nababa, in his valedictory speech, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and thanked his team for their unwavering support. He urged his successor, Ndidi, to lead with wisdom, integrity, and loyalty while building on the foundations laid during his tenure.
