President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has approved the appointment of 24 All Progressives Congress (APC) members, including the party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, 19 state chairmen, and several National Working Committee members, as board chairmen of various federal institutions.

The announcement was made on Friday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Among the key appointments, Felix Morka was named Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority, while Hon. Fatuhu Buhari was appointed as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council. Other appointees include Muhammad Massan (Bauchi State APC Chairman) as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute and Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas (Kano State APC Chairman) as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.

Additional appointments were made across various sectors, including agriculture, health, mining, and education. Notably, Aminu Musa Bobi (Niger State APC Chairman) will head the National Library of Nigeria, while Pharm. Abass Olayide (Oyo State APC Chairman) was appointed as Board Chairman of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Kaduna.

This move is seen as part of Tinubu’s broader effort to strengthen party influence within key government institutions.
