TikTok has officially launched its revamped “Subscription” monetization feature for eligible creators across several regions, including Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, the U.K., Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and the U.S. The rollout, announced on Monday, expands the platform’s capabilities beyond live streaming, following the rebranding of its previous “LIVE Subscription” tool earlier this year.

This new feature positions TikTok as a direct competitor to popular platforms like Patreon, Instagram Subscriptions, and YouTube’s channel memberships. It allows creators to offer exclusive content to their paying subscribers, thereby enhancing engagement with fans.

In a statement, TikTok emphasized, “The Subscription feature empowers creators to build deeper connections with their audience while providing new avenues for monetization.”

As creators increasingly seek sustainable income from their content, TikTok’s latest move highlights the platform’s commitment to fostering a vibrant creator economy.
