The Super Eagles of Nigeria have maintained their 44th position in the latest FIFA men’s ranking, as announced on Thursday via FIFA’s official website.
In Africa, the Nigerian team also retained their fifth spot, trailing Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria. The current standing comes after the team dropped eight places in the November ranking to settle at the 44th position globally.
Globally, reigning world champions Argentina remain at the top of the FIFA rankings, followed by France in second place. Spain, England, and Brazil occupy the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively.
The ranking reflects the consistency of the Super Eagles on the global stage, as they look to improve their standing in future fixtures.
