South Korean actor Kim Sae-ron was discovered dead in her home in Seoul on February 16, 2025.

The police confirmed the news, stating that there were no signs of foul play. A friend found her and subsequently reported the incident to the authorities.

Kim, who was only 24 years old, gained fame for her role in the acclaimed 2010 film “The Man from Nowhere,” where she portrayed a kidnapped child rescued by a former special forces operative.

Her performance earned her the Best New Actress award at the Korean Film Awards, showcasing her talent and versatility across various acting roles throughout her career.

However, Kim’s promising career faced significant challenges after a drunk-driving incident in 2022, which resulted in a fine of 20 million won (approximately $13,800). Following the incident, public sentiment turned against her, leading to difficulties in securing new acting roles. Her untimely death leaves a somber mark on the South Korean entertainment industry.
