Former Nigerian Senator Ishaku Abbo, who represented Adamawa North, has denied involvement in a recent viral sex video that allegedly shows a light-skinned man having intercourse with a married woman.
The video, which surfaced last week, was followed by another clip on X in which a woman accused the ex-lawmaker of sexual harassment and claimed he was using the video to blackmail her.
In a press conference on Monday, September 2, 2024, Senator Abbo vehemently refuted the allegations, describing them as a smear campaign orchestrated by political adversaries. He questioned the validity of the video, stating, “How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, only parts of his legs, and you say it is Senator Abbo?”
Senator Abbo, who was removed from the Senate by an Appeal Court decision on October 16, 2023, insisted, “Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections. A senator from one of the northern states was shown in a sex video with his entire body, but he still won an election to the Senate, and his wife won an election to the House of Representatives. My people love me. No amount of blackmail can stop me.”
Abbo has previously been in the news for assaulting a breastfeeding mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja, a case that drew widespread attention two years ago.
