FIFA has officially revealed its ‘The Best’ Men’s and Women’s 11s for 2025, recognizing the world’s most outstanding footballers over the past season. The announcement was made during an awards ceremony in Doha, Qatar, with Paris Saint-Germain emerging as the dominant club in the men’s selection.

Six players from PSG’s historic UEFA Champions League-winning squad were named to the prestigious Men’s 11. The players honored are goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (now at Manchester City), defenders Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, midfielder Vitinha, and forward Ousmane Dembélé. The team also features Bayer Leverkusen’s Willian Pacho, and stars like Cole Palmer, Virgil van Dijk, Pedri, Jude Bellingham, and the young Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal.

FIFA stated the men’s team was selected based on performances between August 11, 2024, and August 2, 2025, with votes from a panel of experts and fans on FIFA.com contributing equally to the final outcome.

In the women’s category, players from Spain and England dominated the 2025 World 11, reflecting a year of intense competition at both club and international levels. The team is comprised of seven Spanish players and four from England, following their meeting in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final.

The selected players are goalkeeper Hannah Hampton; defenders Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson, Irene Paredes, and Ona Batlle; midfielders Aitana Bonmatí, Patricia Guijarro, and Claudia Pina; and forwards Alexia Putellas, Alessia Russo, and Mariona Caldentey.

The women’s team was determined using the same assessment period and voting process as the men’s selection, with players judged on their impact for both club and country throughout the season.
