Protesters in Abuja, under the EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement, have abandoned their planned demonstration at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, opting instead to gather at the popular Berger Roundabout.

Following an FCT High Court order on Wednesday to limit their protests to the stadium, the protesters complied initially but resisted pressure from security operatives to remain inside the stadium.

On Thursday, they gathered at the stadium but faced harassment from security forces, prompting them to leave and march towards the Eagles Square. Reports indicated that other protesters at Eagles Square were also harassed by security personnel.

Upon arrival at Berger Roundabout, the protesters were met with repeated tear gas attacks by policemen guarding the area.

A correspondent on the scene at 7 am on Friday found the stadium deserted and learned that the protesters had moved to Berger Roundabout.

As of the time of this report, the protesters continue to assemble at the new location, maintaining their stand against bad governance in Nigeria.
