Students at the University of Ibadan (UI), Oyo State, Nigeria have launched a protest in response to recent decisions by the university management, including a hike in fees and issues with electricity supply.
The demonstration began late Tuesday and continued into Wednesday, with students displaying placards at the university’s main gate.
The protesters have blocked the primary entrance, halting vehicular access to the campus. During a visit to the university on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Additionally, a group of students gathered at Trenchard Hall, chanting songs to express their discontent.
