Princess Beatrice, 36, has revealed that she is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40.
The couple, who already have a three-year-old daughter, Sienna, are set to welcome their new baby in early spring. Mr. Mapelli Mozzi also has an eight-year-old son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news in a statement, saying, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together… His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
The baby will be 11th in line to the throne and the 14th great-grandchild of the late Queen, though they will not hold an HRH title.
This announcement follows a challenging year for the Royal Family, with Princess Beatrice’s mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, being diagnosed with skin cancer in January. Despite this, she received the “all clear” after previously undergoing breast cancer treatment.
