The Lagos State Police Command has restored normalcy to the Owode Onirin area after a deadly clash between traders and land grabbers.

The police command swiftly responded to the unrest and deployed personnel to the affected area to restore peace, law, and order.

According to eyewitnesses, a person alleged to be a land grabber invaded the community with thugs and policemen from outside Lagos, sparking the violence.

During the clash, three persons sustained fatal injuries and were confirmed dead at the hospital. A Police Inspector was also seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment in a life-threatening condition.

The police command has identified one Abiodun Ariori, CEO of Prosperous Ariori Golden Venture Limited, as a suspect connected to the deadly clash and has declared him wanted.

The police command has retained the deployment of adequate personnel at the scene of the incident to prevent a resurgence of the crisis.

Four policemen who were brought in from outside Lagos State by the wanted suspect were detained for orderly room trial for going on illegal duty.

In a separate incident, the police command also restored law and order in Balogun Market after a public fight between hoodlums and miscreants. One person was stabbed to death, and another suspect is currently under arrest and receiving treatment for self-inflicted injuries.

The police command has assured the public that normalcy has been restored and encouraged marketers and residents to go about their businesses without fear or apprehension.
