Popular TikTok content creator, Olumide Ogunsanwo, widely known as SeaKing, has been released on bail after being detained by the police over allegations of cyberbullying.
SeaKing was arrested by the Federal Investigation Department (FID) in Abuja following complaints of online harassment directed at Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
The case sparked widespread reactions, with activist Omoyele Sowore among those advocating for SeaKing’s release. Sowore confirmed his freedom on Monday by sharing a photo of the TikToker smiling in a car after securing bail.
Despite Adeboye’s earlier call for his release, the RCCG had maintained its stance on seeking justice over the alleged defamation. The development has reignited discussions on freedom of expression and the legal boundaries of social media commentary in Nigeria.
