The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has successfully neutralized the kidnappers of Mrs. Hakeem Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu, and recovered the ransom paid for her release.
Mrs. Odumosu was abducted on Friday from her residence in Arepo, Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State by four heavily armed men. The attackers reportedly stormed the home of the Odumosus, firing sporadically before dragging her from her Lexus Jeep and taking her through swampy terrain to an unknown location.
Confirming the operation, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated in a release:
“Police Neutralize AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s Wife’s Kidnappers, Recover Ransom. The IGP has commended the police operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a job well done. We remain committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and ensuring security across the country.”
Adejobi added that further details of the rescue operation would be made public at a later time.
