
The Lagos State Police Command’s anti-bomb squad has successfully deactivated an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Ikeja area of Lagos, Nigeria.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to newsmen on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
According to Hundeyin, the device was wrapped in a bag and was dropped by the roadside from an unregistered vehicle along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way. He stated, “The anti-bomb squad was swiftly deployed to the scene, and the device was safely deactivated without any harm.”
