The Lagos State Police Command in Nigeria has arrested a nurse in connection with the death of a 36-year-old woman, Abiola, who died following a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1. According to police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported by the deceased’s driver at the Maroko Police Division.
Abiola, a resident of Diamond Estate in Sangotedo-Lekki, had visited the clinic for the cosmetic procedure. Shortly after an injection was administered by the nurse at the clinic, Abiola lost consciousness and began gasping for breath. Her driver rushed her to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detectives inspected and photographed the scene, gathered evidence, and transported Abiola’s remains to a public morgue for an autopsy. The nurse involved in the procedure has been taken into custody, and Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.
