The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the relocation of its Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting originally scheduled for Monday at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja. The decision came after security operatives reportedly sealed off the Secretariat, barring party leaders from gaining access.

In a statement posted on the PDP’s official Facebook page around noon, party management confirmed that the BoT meeting would now hold at the Yar’Adua Center in the Central Business District, Abuja. The notice urged all BoT members, some of whom were already en route to the initial venue, to immediately proceed to the new location.

The abrupt venue change follows reports that police, acting on “orders from above,” dispersed BoT members attempting to enter the Secretariat. The move has sparked speculation about political tensions and interference ahead of the party’s critical internal deliberations.

The PDP management’s statement concluded with a firm directive for all BoT members to comply with the relocation, underscoring the party’s resolve to continue its proceedings despite the disruption.
