Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, participated in a special prayer session ahead of the inauguration of President Donald Trump in the United States.

The event, known as the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation, was held at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church and was organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. The gathering brought together faith leaders and believers to intercede for the nation and the incoming administration.

During the program, Kumuyi led prayers for the American church, urging unity, holiness, and righteousness. He prayed for divine wisdom for Trump and encouraged the church to play an active role in national renewal and governance.

“Lord, we come in preparation for the celebration of Donald Trump, the president tomorrow. We’re asking that You will grant him wisdom and You will grant the church the unity, the revival, the knowledge, the vision, the forthrightness to speak the truth to power,” Kumuyi prayed.

On the eve of the inauguration, he reiterated his prayers for Trump in an interview with SRN News, asking for divine grace to help him uphold his campaign promises, particularly those concerning faith.

During his visit, Kumuyi also met with Robert Pittenger, former North Carolina representative, Lucas Miles of Turning Point USA Faith, and media representatives.

President Donald Trump will be officially sworn in today as the 47th President of the United States, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath of office in Washington, D.C.
