Unidentified gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have kidnapped two nurses and an unspecified number of patients from the Primary Healthcare Centre at Kuyallo, located in the eastern part of Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

The attack occurred on Monday morning, with the bandits initially targeting the nearby Government Day Secondary School around 9:00 am. Finding the school empty, they proceeded to the healthcare center. Musa Alhassan, a local vigilante leader, reported that the bandits, armed with guns and machetes, forcibly took two female nurses and several patients hostage, causing widespread panic in the community.

Alhassan stated, “The bandits came to the school around 9:00 am, asking about the students, but when they found out the school was empty, they went to the healthcare centre and started kidnapping people. The exact number of patients kidnapped is still unknown.”

An eyewitness confirmed that the attackers entered the healthcare center aggressively, dragging people out. This incident is the latest in a series of bandit attacks in Kaduna State. There has been no official statement from the state government regarding the incident.
