The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), paid a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, December 12, 2024, in Daura, Katsina State.
The visit was made public by Ahmad Bashir, a former media aide to Buhari, who shared photos on X.com. The Ooni was accompanied by his entourage for the meeting with the former president.
Before departing Daura, Buhari and the Ooni visited the Emir’s Palace, a historic landmark in the town. Bashir wrote, “Today, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), was in Daura with his entourage to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari. Before leaving Daura, the former president led the Ooni of Ife and his entourage to the historic Daura Emir’s Palace.”
