
The Take It Back Movement (TIB), in partnership with various organizers, has announced a significant one-million-man protest to be held simultaneously across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
This protest is part of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance campaign, which initially kicked off on August 1, 2024. What started as a 10-day protest has now evolved into a nationwide movement, drawing widespread participation from citizens across the country and even from the diaspora.
“This event will mark a critical juncture in our nationwide EndBadGovernanceInNigeria campaign,” stated Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, the National Coordinator of TIB. “The Take It Back Movement, alongside other organizers, will lead a monumental one-million-man protest in each of the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT.”
The movement seeks to highlight the numerous challenges faced by Nigerian citizens, and it has garnered strong support, particularly in the northern states. As the protest date approaches, the organizers are calling for continued participation and support from all regions of the country.
Juwon emphasized the significance of the upcoming event, “This protest is not just about one day of action; it is about sustaining the momentum and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard loud and clear. We are committed to driving change and holding the government accountable for its actions,” He stated
