Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has paid tribute to the late Alhaja Halimah Abike Akeredolu Adesanya (née Anifowoshe), the mother of renowned Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate.

The governor described her as a virtuous woman whose life was marked by faith, compassion, and dedication to others’ well-being.

Speaking on Friday at the 7th-day Fidau Prayer held in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Governor Abiodun emphasized her impact beyond her immediate family, highlighting her devotion to Islam and her role as a matriarch in the community.

Taking to his Facebook page, the governor wrote:

“Alhaja Halimah was a devoted Muslim and a matriarch whose influence extended beyond her immediate family to positively impact her community.

“We extend our heartfelt prayers for her soul to find eternal peace in Al-Jannah Firdaus. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and reward her good deeds abundantly.

“We also pray for strength and divine comfort for her family, especially her children and loved ones, including our dear brother and celebrated music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal. May the Almighty grant them the fortitude to carry on her legacy of kindness and selflessness.”

Governor Abiodun also encouraged people to emulate her values and contribute to building a better community.

The late Alhaja Halimah was widely respected for her generosity and commitment to community development, with many describing her as a pillar of support to those in need.

The Fidau prayer was attended by family members, associates, and dignitaries, who gathered to honor her memory and pray for her soul.
