A group of Lagos natives, De Renaissance Patriots Foundation, has rejected the Youth Minister’s endorsement of Seyi Tinubu as the next Lagos State governor in 2027.
The group described the minister’s statement as careless and not representative of the people of Lagos State.
According to the group, Seyi Tinubu is not from Lagos State and cannot lay claim to any of its divisions.
They emphasized that Lagos youths have the capacity to govern themselves and do not need an outsider to lead them.
The group also warned Seyi Tinubu not to fall for the deceit of those pushing him to contest, reminding him that Lagos is not like before, and that they will resist any attempt to force him on the state as governor.
This development comes after several groups, including the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders and the Lagos branch of the Middle Belt Youths, endorsed Seyi Tinubu for the 2027 governorship election.
However, not everyone is pleased with the endorsement, with some describing it as a ploy to undermine President Bola Tinubu.
