Leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) are currently engaged in crucial talks with the Federal Government, focusing on issues affecting the nation, particularly the rising petrol prices and their economic consequences.

According to sources, the meeting is taking place at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

Present at the meeting are key government officials, including National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Labour Minister Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Finance Minister Wale Edun, and Information Minister Mohammed Idris. Also in attendance are Petroleum Ministers Heineken Lokpobiri and Ekperikpe Ekpo, alongside representatives from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.

This high-level discussion comes as Nigerians continue to feel the pressure from fuel price increases and other economic challenges.
